This Isn’t a Fall. It’s a Perspective Shift.
Dispatches from the Consulting Futurist….
The Consulting Futurist stood on the edge of Barts, rain soaking the hem of his metaphor.
He’d seen too much.
Too many strategy decks.
Too many leaders asking “what’s next?” while clinging to what was.
Below, the city buzzed with questions it hadn’t yet dared to ask.
Above, a future no one had properly imagined.
He straightened his coat, adjusted the artefact in his pocket (a replica of the brain—or was it just his sense of irony?), and said:
This isn’t a fall. It’s a perspective shift.
Then he jumped….
…into a keynote that tore through space, time, and at least one delegate’s worldview.
Over the past few months, I’ve been working on a rebrand for my speaking business. Many circles have been navigated. Agents consulted. Networks included.
I’ve asked myself:
What is it I really do?
What’s the through-line that connects storytelling, science, keynote speaking, HR systems, speculative fiction, and a suspicious number of artefacts?
And perhaps more importantly…
What the hell do I call it?

The current frontrunner?
“The Consulting Futurist” From Metaphor to Megatrend
Here’s where you come in.
I’m looking for:
Killer taglines
Unexpected brand names
Adams-worthy acronyms
Audience-eye-view insight (especially if you’ve booked a speaker or sat through too many)
That one weird idea that might just work
Think like a delegate.
Think like a sceptical CEO.
Think like an alien attending their first Earth keynote.
